印度这个国家在建国之初的表现让世界各国非常的无语，一方面印度希望和北方的强敌中国争夺领土，另一方面却不愿意花钱更新军队的装备水平。以至于在1962年的中印战争中，印度军队拿着属于二战时期水平的装备同清一色苏式武器的中国军队交战。结果印度这个愚蠢的行为害得印度几乎亡国。一、印度独立以后，在各方面一直依靠英国印度从17世纪就成为了英国的殖民地，被英国整整统治了300年。这就造成了印度对英国有一种说不出的感情，直到今天仍然是这样。1941年，日本发动了太平洋战争，偷袭了美国重要基地珍珠港。同时也派出军队南下东南亚，日军先后占领了香港、菲律宾、马来亚、新加坡、缅甸等地。随着日军在东南亚占领区越来越大，日军开始威胁到英国最重要的殖民地印度。印度这块领土，英国绝对不能丢。英国一方面请求中国国民政府派出远征军进入缅甸境内同日军作战，另一方面在印度加紧战备。而印度却想利用这个机会独立，在面对印度国内独立情绪高涨的情况下，英国宣布在战争胜利以后，还给印度独立和自由。得到了英国的保证以后，印度的局势逐渐稳定。1947年，印度宣布国家独立，印度首任总理尼赫鲁带着人民唱起了《人民的意志》。但是印度独立以后，在各方面对英国的依赖很大。印度的商品主要出口到英国，而同时也需要向英国进口进口大量的货物。在军队建设上，印度更是离不开英国。当时的印度连子弹都不会生产，其实到现在印度也不会。再加上印度军队长期受英军训练方式的影响，对英国武器情有独钟。在这样的情况下，印度请求英国能够无偿援助印度武器装备。英国刚刚打完二战，也是穷的够呛，哪有闲钱援助印度。最后英国无偿援助了印度可以装备40万军队的武器，只不过这些武器都是二战时期的旧货。二、法国收钱的态度，让印度十分不满1962年夏天，中国军队在忍无可忍的情况下，对入侵中国境内的印军展开了自卫反击战。中印两军在雪域高原上展开了一场大厮杀，胜利的天平逐渐向中国方面倾斜。印度方面也知道自己军队的装备太烂，不过印度不敢再向英国开口了，因为实在是没有脸了。印度首先向苏联方面求援，苏联当时的最高领导人是赫鲁晓夫。中苏两国虽然在意识形态上发生了严重的分歧，但是还没有到剑拔弩张的地步。苏联方面表示为了顾及中苏关系，苏联只能对印度出于口头上的支持。在这样的情况下，印度开始谋求另一个欧洲大国法国的援助。法国方面非常的热情，而印度也一口气在法国的武器库中挑选了很多装备。但是就在运输上，法国和印度发生了严重的分歧。印度方面坚持要法国无偿援助，法国和印度没有半毛钱的关系，坚持一手交钱一手拿货。法国的态度非常明确：印度是世界不结盟运动的倡导者，既然是不结盟国家，那就必须按照国际贸易的习惯来进行。如果印度是北约成员国，法国可以考虑无偿援助。不结盟政策是印度在国际社会上的支柱，这个底线绝对不能破。最后印度仅仅从法国买了40门迫击炮，而法国看在英国的面子上，表现还非常地道。法国无偿援助了印度10架战机，只可惜还是二战时期的旧货，对前线的战事没有任何帮助。三、印度为了武器装备，放弃了最后的尊严使用二战武器的印度军队在中国军队面前就是一个笑话，因为中国军队使用的是清一色的苏式武器。在中印战争的第一阶段中，侵入中国境内的印军据点全部都被拔除，中国军队开始进入印度境内。这下子印度人急眼了，印度总理尼赫鲁亲自给美国总统肯尼迪打电话。尼赫鲁请求美国方面能够派出海空军进入印度同中国军队作战，这实际上是希望美国也卷入中印战争。美国方面根据自己利益的考虑，命令美国海军航母群紧急开赴孟加拉湾。美国的态度很明显，美国可以对印度提供空中支援，至于陆地作战还是得靠印度自己。因为10年前的朝鲜战争，美国人还是心有余悸。印度最后想起了中东小霸王以色列，印度求情以色列援助武器，当然还是不要钱的那种。以色列在经历过中东战争以后，确实还有很多战争物资，不过以色列有条件。以色列的条件是必须有以色列军火船悬挂以色列国旗进入印度，当时印度和西亚阿拉伯世界国家的关系不错，印度为了外交上的考虑没有答应以色列的要求。以色列的态度是爱要不要，看你印度能不能顶住中国人的进攻。果然不出所料，印度军队大败亏输，中国军队已经逼近印度北部重镇提斯浦尔。印度最后答应了以色列的要求，以色列军火船高悬以色列国旗进入了印度港口。这一举动大大刺激的西亚各国，很多阿拉伯国家宣布与印度断交。查看: 16734|回复: 55

Noting that India is increasingly getting concerned about China’s posture on its border, a top United States intelligence official said on Wednesday that the Indian Army is strengthening itself for a “limited conflict” with China.
“Despite public statements intended to downplay tensions between India and China, we judge that India is increasingly concerned about China’s posture along their disputed border and Beijing’s perceived aggressive posture in the Indian Ocean and Asia-Pacific region,” Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said in his prepared testimony before the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

“The Indian Army believes a major Sino-Indian conflict is not imminent, but the Indian military is strengthening its forces in preparation to fight a limited conflict along the disputed border, and is working to balance Chinese power projection in the Indian Ocean,” he said.
India, Clapper said, has expressed support for a strong US military posture in East Asia and US engagement in Asia. He said China in 2011 appeared to temper the assertive behaviour that characterised its foreign policy the year before, but the internal and external drivers of that behaviour persist.

Many of Beijing’s military capability goals have now been realised, resulting in impressive military might.
Other goals remain longer term, but the Chinese army is receiving the funding and political support to transform it into a fully modern force, capable of sustained operations in Asia and beyond, he said.

Folks – India cannot win any war with China in conventional warfare. In general the use of nukes are done when no more war can be supported – that is you are about to lose so use the nukes. I would hate to see the Indian army being beaten to pieces by Chinese in case of conventional war, we dont stand any chance against them.
I dont believe China has any territorial ambitions in North-east, because if it wanted to grab that land it would have done it long ago. Nobody is seeking a conflict with china but we should always be ready!
It is the duty of govt to keep our forces ready and well armed to be able to deal with any situation!
And china is no exception!
There are no results from the long talks we have with chinese and they keep the border questions open despite all our polite posturing!
So, we should be ready in all respects.
没人寻求和中国发生冲突，不过我们应该时刻准备好！
让我们军队准备就绪、装备优良，有能力应付任何情况，这是政府的职责！
中国也不例外！
我们和中国人的漫长谈判不会有什么结果。尽管我们姿态彬彬有礼，他们总是搁置边界问题。

Concept of limited war is confusing and illusionary. War is fought to win not for limit.
Hardly any encounter took place in between India and China after 1962, We can say border dispute with China is negotiable or is not based on batred on religion fanatism. Today India is also having N power, those who have N power, others are to think 10 times to go beyond a certain limit.
Let us concentrate more on infrastructural development instead of such doublish issues.
有限战争的概念是让人困惑和产生错觉的。打战是为了胜利，不是为了达到某个极限。
1962年，印度和中国之间几乎没有发生任何冲突。我们可以这样说，即中印的边界争议是可协商的，或者说不是基于仇恨和宗教狂热。印度今天也有核力量。对于那些拥有核力量的国家，其他国家会三思的，不会超过某个限制。让我们专注基础设施的发展吧，而不是此类…问题。

My dear friend limited war is a term used when you fight but not on full scale. Kargil is an example of the same. It was a limited war with pakistan. Ur right concentration should be on development and not all this but chinese can never be trusted, hence preparation is required to avoid a 1962.

曾经力抗大唐、回鹘、吐谷浑、阿拉伯的吐蕃人，现在温和到只知道自焚.......

印度已经很少有佛教徒了，现在印度的两大宗教是印度教和伊斯兰教。&

吐蕃的确被佛教搞得坑爹了。。。宋朝的时候连大理国都打不过&
中印之间的争议地区 真是名符其实的“穷山恶水” 双方都无法有效投入兵力，而且那些位置也许有军事价值，但是没有任何经济价值。如果以入侵另外一个国土为目的，那些边界也许重要。但是如果双方都不想侵略的话，那些地方不值一文。
目前最大的问题是 中印没有任何合作点，双方都是人多能源少，互相猜忌才会有现在的对峙。如果有可以合作的地方边界问题完全可以搁置。
确实穷山恶水。那么垃圾也就罢了居然连石油和铁矿什么的都没有要来没用。&
我也认为阿三是个可以争取的友好对象，只要把大奶及其余党交还中国，边界问题可以慢慢协商。
