●●●2014年，他受邀参加湖北卫视节目录制，现场展示过目不忘的本领：主持人随便翻开一页，告诉他页码，胡庆文就能背诵出那一页当中《道德经》的内容：

在接受记者采访时，他本人随意说出的记忆案例：30秒记住一副打乱扑克牌的花色和点数；
5分钟记住40个人的手机号码；
半天时间，5页菜单价目脱稿而出；
两天时间，记住1000多个大学英语四级单词；
四天时间，将一本高中教科书倒背如流；

胡庆文到底是如何记忆的呢？据其介绍，人的大脑其实是有着相当大的记忆潜能的，常规情况下这种潜能在沉睡，但如果使用一定的方法，便能打开大脑记忆的闸门。“掌握一定方法后，对记忆英语单词、数学公式、古典美文、政治条目等，有显著的帮助作用。”而且，这种记忆并不是机械记忆，而是建立在理解的基础上的记忆。& & “通常情况下，刚记住的东西是最清晰的。这样的记忆可以维持一周左右。如果是特别重要的内容，四五天后拿出来复习一下，即可做到常温常新。否则，会随着新东西的植入，慢慢淡忘。”
6月14日的讲座现场，胡庆文将为广大学生展示高效记忆的神奇效果：100个无序数字记忆展示，文章速记方法展示，英语单词快速记忆方法展示，现场随机挑选学员速记成果展示……向广大学生传授学科知识、高效记忆方法，开阔学生的学习视野。同时普及全脑学习、快速记忆理念和方法。
